I ve dedicated my life to the education of children and received a degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in early education from Johnston State College in 1987. I ve been Massachusetts State certified since 1991, and I ve worked for several different preschools throughout my career and even received my Montessori Teaching Degree in 2006. In September 2007, I opened Forestdale Friends Preschool, a Massachusetts licensed and insured school, which I run out of my house. This opportunity has allowed me to continue my love for working with and educating children, and to stay home with my children as well. I wanted a dedicated room for the school, so I hired a contractor to renovate our garage into a spacious, beautiful school room with cathedral ceiling, over-sized skylights, and lots of sunshine. During the school year, I run a theme-based academic program in which we participate in circle, art, outside time, field trips, and more. The children learn numbers, letters, mathematics, language and various other cultural subjects. My summer program is more relaxed and fun with a lot more field trips.
