Hi, I would love the opportunity to help you learn more about science and math. Being born with a learning disorder called dyslexia, I know the struggle of reading and studying. Through my personal experiences I have learning specific study habits and techniques that allowed me to graduate with honors from both high school and college. I have shared my knowledge in collage with many of my peers as I tutored them through lectures and classes I already mastered. I have some experience (a few summer jobs) with special needs kids, and am very flexible with availability other than the 3-ish hours/week I have allocated for a college course I am taking. I use to work at Santa Rosa Community School as a caregiver. My role as a caregiver was to, educate, care, play, clean and love kids ages 5-11 for 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. It was an afterschool care place for the elementary children so on a day to day base I created a safe and nurturing childcare environment for up to 70-80 children a day and collaborating with 2 other caregivers. I also tutored and assisted them with assignments for subjects like math, science, reading, art, and history. You learn to bond and connect with not only the kids but their parents. I carefully followed the parents instructions if they needed certain things done to help with their child. I also worked at Scare Heart Pediatrics rehab, Watching and helping kids of all ages infants to pre-teen to learn and grow. I have helped with special needs kids, Kids who are medically ill. I was an Engineer in the Navy for 7. 5 as well as an Assistant Manager at a Florist, so I can apply real-world examples.
