I have been a full time nanny for 7 years. My current and past job have included infant care. I have experience with overnights and children with special needs. My mom had an in-home daycare when I was in high school so I am very familiar and comfortable with multiple children of varying ages. I love kids and feel very lucky to have all of these experiences! I'd describe my personality as loving, responsible, and silly I like working with kids because I get to work with unique personalities and have fun! I'm looking for a job that is on the weekends I started working with kids when I was 16 In my spare time, I like to cross stitch, volunteer at a cat shelter, and read One thing you should know about me is that I love playing and creating. Bouncing Baby Girl | Dual Physician Household | Apex | October | Full Time | $20-21/hr We are a dual physician household navigating a big new life with a tiny human being. Our little star is almost 4 months old and we are still in awe. We are first-time parents navigating uncharted territory. We have friends with kids but having our own love bug to care for is a big step for us. We are looking for an amazing nanny with infant experience to step in and support our team. We understand that year one is filled with growth and milestones BUT having your knowledge about early childhood development goes a long way to calming our nerves. We are going to get real about our schedule. Dad is a military man and deployment is in his near future. Even when he is on this side of the earth, he works long hours and has a hefty commute. For several months this Fall and Winter you will be working around Mom's schedule. Great news, she gets her schedule a year in advance! More great news, most weeks you will have a four-day workweek. Your day off is not the same every week, however, we are happy to sit down with you and show you the typical flow. We do know we need you 6:30a-6p Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are sure the 6:30a start is not a big surprise if you have worked with physicians before- but shock aside, it doesn't make the early hours any easier! One week of the month will be variable as mom will be on call for the hospital and will need more variable coverage for that week, but most days starting at 6:30 am. Please be a true morning bird if you're applying to this role! Your typical work week will be 40 hours. On an occasional morning or afternoon mom will work from home doing Zoom conferences. We met in medical school and when our careers allowed us to reconnect in the same city after a few years, we were thrilled. We were just starting to find shared hobbies when the pandemic hit, and we had a baby on the way. We enjoy kayaking, eating out, hanging with friends, and checking out festivals at the amphitheater. Dad is taking a stab at golf and Mom is trying to get in the swing of tennis. We do tend towards the introverted side. Pandemic life didn't make that any better! We bubbled with some friends who are our besties (we are so glad they did not get tired of us!) in the Triangle and we became masters of Netflix and hanging around the house. Our sweet ball of baby is brand spanking new to this world. She spends most of her time sleeping, eating, and curiously watching whoever is holding her. She loves the swing and the swaddle. It did not take long for us to learn that is a necessary new parent life skill! We are already recognizing the signs of self-soothing and truth be told, we could stare at her for hours! We are proud to say she is already logging good minutes doing tummy time. We want your focus to be on our daughter throughout the day but when you have some downtime, we would love a little help with baby-related things. Babies come with tons of gear that needs to be managed. We need you to wash baby laundry, clean bottles, put dishes in the dishwasher, restock the diaper changing areas, and be ready to run a quick vacuum in the areas where our kiddo is wiggling around on the floor. If you are into making baby food, we would love for you to take on that little chore when the time comes. In addition, we would love for you to document the flow of our daughter's day so we can be more connected to the fun you two are having while we are away at work. We are fully vaccinated and still very careful out in the world. Before our daughter came along, we did a few more indoor things but since she joined us, we are steering clear. We require you to have your COVID vaccine and get boosters as recommended. We ask that you be willing to follow CDC guidelines, mask in enclosed public spaces, and limit indoor dining if you are not able to distance. Our preference is that the people that you socialize with unmasked are vaccinated. We ask that you continue to take basic precautions to help protect our little bean while she is an infant. We also ask you to be up to date on your Tdap and to get your annual flu shot. We need you to be all the things to our baby when we are not around. We know that is a massive ask but we also know you are out there! Our perfect teammate is punctual, reliable, and experienced with littles. We believe in routines in our home, and we know that routines make for happy babies with predictable sleeping patterns, fingers crossed! We need you to help us develop, adjust, and maintain a schedule for our little pea. We are looking for your input and ideas about everything from when it's time to move up a size in diapers to activities that will help her develop her core strength and hand-eye coordination. We hope that you spend your days doing activities that stimulate her development while also having a little fun! We don't have any pets. We work way too many hours to add that complication to our lives. Nannies with pet allergies please apply. We will not be adding any furry or scaly creatures to our lives for the foreseeable future. We are offering $20-21/hr, PTO, and loads of sweet baby snuggles!
