In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to find your own voice! My favorite thing about teaching is m students are always introducing me to new songs that I have never heard, thus challenging my own musical path! I encourage the students to select the songs in order for them to stay interested and motivated. I also enjoy getting to see the students grow in there musical journey and the confidence they feel from my coaching. We have FUN in the lessons, there is no pressure from me whatsoever. Nathan's Music Lessons (Guitar, Drum, Bass Guitar, Piano)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Cape Coral, FL
Years of Experience: 15 Location Options: In Home Travel Radius: 10 Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Acoustic, Christian, Pop, Metal Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult, Under 6 Years Instruments Taught: Guitar Lessons,Bass Guitar Lessons,Drum Lessons,Keyboard and Piano Lessons Overview: Music is my gift and my passion. I?ve had a deep for it from the very beginning when I first started playing my mom?s old piano at the age of four. I found that I could simply hear a song or melody or even just notes and, with little to no hesitation, turn around and play exactly what I heard. I started picking up every instrument I could and taking every music class I could find. I found that I was very naturally gifted with an understanding of music theory and through band, choir, orchestra and theory classes I learned how to compose the music that I could always hear in my head. I grew up in a place where country is very popular but I have a slightly rebellious streak in me so, naturally, turned to rock and heavy metal. Although my roots lie in rock I appreciate and listen to many different genres. In fact, according to the Spotify app I listen to about 150-180 different genres per year! Thanks to a well trained ear and a vast knowledge of music theory I?ve been able to learn how to play close to 20 different instruments! From drums to cello to even the tin whistle; whatever you?d like to learn, I can help you with it. Hope to rock out with you soon! Formal Education: FSW State College-Music Theory / Cello North Fort Myers School of performing arts-Wind Ensemble (euphonium), Choir (Tenor 1/2), Orchestra (Cello), Jazz Band (drums/trombone), Music Theory, Instrumental Techniques (euphonium) Performing Experience: Two local tours (FL) with my metal bandLike Enemies; Travel events and competitions with wind ensemble, orchestra, marching band and choir Local shows with a cover band Experience Teaching: Medolark Summer camp, Maine-music dept head and rock Good Shepherd Lutheran School-guitar/drums instructor

Gilbert's Music Lessons (Orchestral)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Cape Coral, FL
Years of Experience: 44 Location Options: In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 13 Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Acoustic, Pop Age Groups: Adult Instruments Taught: Orchestral Lessons Overview: I believe that each student is unique and has individual needs, abilities, personalities and character. My goal as an educator is to allow each of my students to grow and develop as musicians to the fullest extent. Satisfying and educational musical experiences will help each of them grow into well-rounded and well-adjusted adults. I receive a great deal of personal satisfaction from watching young musicians grow and develop during their educational years, not only because I can contribute to their growth musically, but also because and understanding and patient teacher can help students grow emotionally. By being firm, yet fair, a teacher can gain a student's respect, and by having a caring and understanding professional attitude, a teacher can easily motivate students to perform to the best of their abilities. -Education- Degree: Bachelor of Music, Theory and Composition School: Lowell State College Dates: 1968-09 Degree: Masters of Music Performance School: UYniversity of Lowell Dates: 1978-09 -Reviews- Name: Tom Wright Date: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 Title: Tom Wright Body: To whom it may concern, It is my pleasure to recommend Gil for your position. I took private saxophone lessons with Gil when I was a student at Bowdoin College from 1. Gil was an excellent and formative teacher for me, and I have no doubt that he would be an excellent fit for your position. My weekly lessons with Gil were among the best music education experiences I have had. Gil has an extensive knowledge of the saxophone and saxophone repertoire, and he has a clear vision of how he wants every piece or assignment to sound. His teaching style felt very personally-tailored; rather than use a one-size-fits-all approach to things like embouchure and technique, Gil was willing to leave things alone that he felt worked for my approach, even if they weren’t entirely conventional. Gil also helped me to become a better composer; he encouraged me to bring drafts of compositions to my lessons, and he was always willing to give helpful feedback. On a personal level, Gil is one of the most entertaining teachers I have encountered. Our strong rapport was one of the most important reasons that his teaching was so effective for me; I felt consistently challenged but never badgered or belittled, and I always looked forward to going to lessons. Moreover, Gil always invited me to bring in whatever jazz I was listening to at the time, and I always appreciated his willingness to act as a sounding board to help me figure out what it was I liked about various artists. I grew immensely as a musician over my four years of college, and Gil was one of the major reasons why. I also had the opportunity to learn of Gil’s passion for music education in his day job as a primary and secondary school music teacher. He has run seemingly every type of ensemble, be it chorus, concert band, jazz band, or bell choir. He’s passionate about the students, about teaching, and about sharing his love of music. In short, I wholeheartedly recommend Gil for your position. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.

East Lee High: Battle of the Bands Pep Rallies And plenty more. Experience Teaching: 8 years have passed since the first paradiddle roll I taught was played back to me by a fellow student in the 10th grade. Later that in after that year, when Football/Parade seasons and Classical band ended, we began doing weekly Drumline training sessions at my moms house. At the time I brought in hybrid rudiments and advanced visuals. I taught even more during my Junior and Senior year of high school. When I graduated. I went back in the Summer of 2013 to As the Volunteer Drum Instructor and started teaching everything including: fundamentals, rudiments, visuals, improvisations, music reading and more. I kept on until I moved to California. I was honored to receive my former High School Band Directors call for the third semester in a row inviting me to California in order to fill the position as Drum instructor. In 2016 I became the Oxnard, CA High School Show Style Drum Instructor. This experience was great! Many of the students were at a beginner-intermediate level but were unfamiliar with my style and techniques. Several of them I helped guide to an advanced level. I taught there that entire football/parade season and ended my work there in 2017.
