He has had some shortness of breath but is improving in strength, as well as in his breathing through therapy while in subacute care for the past several weeks. He needs help with meals and regular medications, as well as just in general companionship. About the care needs: Husband is Jamaican so someone from Jamaica or the Caribbean would be likely a good fit for him. The person should be patient and kind, but also with a good sense of humor and easily able to get him to do the things he needs to do like eat regular meals to gain weight and take his medication on time, etc. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
