Highly disappointed in the business like approach, and in the college students who seemed qualified but were missing that special touch, I decided to switch career paths. From teacher to child care provider from my own home. As a mother myself, I understand and empathize with how hard it is to trust someone with your most precious thing in the whole wide world. I also know that your little one needs to feel at home, safe, and loved when they are not with you - so I provide that intimate mother's touch to all the children that I care for. I highly value pre-reading skills, early child development, a true love for learning, developing life long learning skills, reading, being active, enjoying the outdoors, and letting them try things for themselves. You can take the teacher out of the classroom but not the teacher out of me, lol....each day we have breakfast together around the table, where we work on fine motor, eating, and social skills that I find are truly important. Meals around the table together are so precious I want them to have that in the morning here. After that we have group activities such as: tunnel fun, obstacle courses, mini-gymnastics, dance parties to head shoulders knees and toes or the frozen/lion guard/mickey mouse songs, play outside or go for a walk around the pond naming things, discussing colors, shapes, sizes, etc. Once we get out some energy, we come in for circle time where we welcome everyone working on language skills, social skills, and preschool skills. We work on sitting in circle time, clapping to the songs we sing, knowing each others names, learning our colors/letters/shapes/numbers, and singing children's songs such as the ABC's and the Wheels on the Bus. Then we have either sensory skill time (playing with flour, jello, bubbles, etc) or fine motor skills (Popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, tissue paper, coloring etc). Soon lunch, story time, and nap time follow. Once the children wake up, weather permitted we are having free time play outside or laughing, having tickle parties or building forts/tents inside with snack before pick up. I am here to catch them when they fall, be their cheerleader when they make an accomplishment no matter how small, and comfy shoulder when they need to cuddle. I like to be with the family for the long haul and will help your little one develop and meet milestones. I have tons of experience with newborns, toddlers, &amp; twins
