Miss Puddle Duck's Day Care
Starting at $175/wk
Hi, I'm Cynthia,
I run Miss Puddle Duck's Day Care. Take a look at my pictures to get a feel for what I do here. I've done daycare in my home for 29 yrs. I have comfy, kid friendly furnishings and a big backyard w/ trees and a lush lawn. There are swings, climbers, riding toys and a big sandbox. The children learn through play; they try things out, fail, keep trying and succeed. In the process they have fun learning about math, science, literature, social interaction, different cultures and so much more. NO worksheets, flash cards or memorization here. Children learn by doing lots of hands on activities indoors and out. They think of possibilities and try them out. I stay close by to insure their safety but don't interfere with their creative process. The children will play hard, eat hearty and sleep well. Come visit my daycare to see just how much play and learning goes on.
It is my philosophy that learning for very young children should be a hands-on, active experience that is safe and inviting. I encourage little ones to explore materials and their environment with all their senses. Because children are most comfortable with a set routine, there is a regular time each day for meals and nap, circle time, music, reading, imaginative play and outdoor play. Letters, numbers, shapes, colors and themes are introduced during Circle Time and reinforced throughout the day through play. Your little one is given a healthy, balanced diet while in my care which meets the Mid Michigan Child Care Food Program requirements. You can go to work feeling confident that you have left your little one here where lots of fun, learning, laughter and attention are provided in a safe and loving atmosphere. Thank you for considering Miss Puddle Duck's Day Care. I'm looking forward to teaching and caring for your little one.
Now for the boring statistics: I offer safe, affordable, quality care for your little one. I have been a Licensed Day Care Provider for 29 years, I am certified in Infant and Child CPR and First Aid. I also have training in Shaken Baby Syndrome, Safe Sleep Practices and Blood Born Pathogens. I am an active member of several Professional Organizations including the Mid Michigan Child Care Food Program and the West Metro Childcare Provider's Assoc. I attend Professional Conferences and workshops each year that are part of my continuing education in the field of Child Care and Development.
