Renee, Jessica and the rest of the team are absolutely AMAZING! I dropped my children off every morning knowing they were in a safe and loving environment. There was always art hanging for me to take home. The schedule was amazing it included play time, snack and meal time, educational time, nap time, and story time. I especially appreciated the emails from Jessica with photos of my children (I still have them saved). My youngest son was born with an extra chromosome (Down Syndrome), initially I had someone coming to the home to watch him and his speech wasn't progressing. Once he began attending Renee's daycare he started repeating colors, numbers, favorite foods and then conversations (forever grateful to Renés). My youngest daughter attended Renee's daycare from 3 months - 5 years old. When it came time to start Kindergarten she asked if she could just be homeschooled by Renee and Jessica. Now we stop by after hours to drop off flowers or a pizza. I have to add that during one of my most difficult times (the death of my Dad) both Renée and Jessica were so supportive. They regularly checked in on me to see how they can help. When time came for us to return to daycare they were just great with my daughter in talking about the loss of her grandfather. I am now a grandma and I am hopeful that at least one of my grand babies will attend Renee's daycare. Truly, I never saw Renée and Jessica as daycare providers, they became and are family because that's what they make you and your children feel like! Thank you Renee and Jessica for being amazing providers to my children. I am forever indebted to you.

Garrow Family Child Care aka "Sprouting Seeds" is run by myself, Lucille Garrow - a professional in the field of Child Development with a Master Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
We have been in effect since 2018. Our curriculum is research based with an emphasis on language development, social emotional development and nature exploration. We do indoor and outdoor playtime as well as lots of talking about feelings.
The children learn through play and the curriculum is always changing based on the children's development, interests and new materials we get / songs we hear. I'm often finding new ways to teach by creating wall displays and materials that relate to songs and books that become our favorites. We make the most out of every learning experience by using books, musical instrument and puppets.
The curriculum also revolves around the five school readiness goals from the Los Angeles County Of Education. These goals stem from the five domains - social emotional development, language development, cognitive development, motivation for learning and attention maintenance as well as motor development including hygiene and safety practices.
I'm constantly describing the actions of my students to teach them words that relate to what they are doing. We also have lots of back and forth conversations and I make sure to expand on their words, being descriptive while introducing them to new concepts and asking open ended questions to enhance their higher order thinking skills.
I'm caring and hands on with the children and have created a safe, fun and educational environment for them along with my own children, we are like a big family. I like to say "we put the family in a small family child care home" because we all truly are a family who loves and cares for each other.

My son was with Lucille from 5 months to 18 months. She is incredibly caring and attentive. She reads to the kids daily and sings songs with them. My son loved her and learned a lot while he was with her. I highly recommend Lucille's daycare. As a side note, she always kept her daycare clean and sanitized.
