Sottosanti Family Childcare

1909 Triumph Street, Vista, CA

Starting at $250/wk

Hi, my name is Theresa. I am a licensed childcare provider with 30 years of experience offering a loving, safe, and educational environment for all ages. My goal as a provider is to provide the perfect balance of discovery oriented play with structured learning opportunities in a setting that is safe, stimulating, and fun. My childcare business opened in Oceanside in 1990, I then moved to Murrieta and continued childcare for 17 years, holding both a small and large facility license. Newly licensed in Vista (Shadowridge) area and ready to enroll children in my program. Open from 7am to 5:30pm.

At the heart of my program is the idea that learning should be fun. We do this through the integration of structured educational activity and ample time for discovery play. Play is a critical part to the healthy growth and development of a child. Children develop socially, emotionally, and physically through play. The children will engage in both free-play and structured-play throughout the day. In addition to free and structured play, I participate in the Mother Goose preschool program which is a professionally planned preschool curriculum for ages 2 and up.

Another part of my philosophy as a provider is not only focused on free time for discovery, but providing this time within a structured daily schedule (however, this schedule can be flexible when needed for your child). Through my 30 years of experience, I have learned that children thrive when there exists organization, structure, and routine in their days. I have developed a specific daily schedule and activity flow that works exceptionally well and has alterations for all ages. Although I focus on a structured flow, I provide many variations in activity types in order to keep the children engaged and excited!

I look forward to meeting you and discussing your childcare needs. I truly love caring for children, and my many exceptional references are a testament to this. Currently I have a infant opening (a baby under 2yrs) and one for a child over 2 years old. I strive to ensure that each child in my care feels safe, loved, happy and is constantly learning. I look forward to meeting you.

What can I even say about Letti and Nallely.. They have truly become our second family! They care for my son as if he were one of their own, and I couldn't ask for anything more! Leticia's maternal instincts and passion for children shines every day. Communication, rapport with families, and work/life balance are key when it comes to finding a daycare-and I can say with 100% certainty that Letti embodies all of that and much more!

Here our facilitators, you- the parent, and the children collaborate. As a team we build a solid educational foundation for your child. Together through keen observation and portfolio/project documentation, we ensure important learning/developmental milestones are reached. Through our play based, emergent curriculum we uncover the children's interests and the pathways through which to immerse them in various subjects-- science, math, reading, language, art, music, movement and social studies. Together we empower our children to be independent, well rounded, well socialized caretakers of our planet and each other.

Our low student to teacher ratio of no more than 2:1 (2:1 for children 2 and under) ensures your little one receives individualized attention, feels safe, loved and reaches age appropriate educational, social, physical and mental milestones.
