About the business
Cathy's Coaching is an online tutoring program for 5th grade through high school students in the subjects of English, literature, writing, and academic reading comprehension. Students receive support for English and Social Studies classes during the school year. This includes AP US History, AP World, AP European History, and AP Comparative Government.
Each student's program is individually prepared to further develop learning skills as well as support academic reading and writing processes. The CA Common Core Curriculum is emphasized.
Summer Recess is a great time to enhance learning through bridge activities: those studies that help improve any academic performance without the tension of achievement and testing. Additionally, summertime is an opportunity for high school students to work on college application essays. This is a particular interest and competency of Cathy's.
Cathy is a retired school principal and life-long educator. Tutoring students is Cathy's passion. Her motto: "learning should be engaging and fulfilling".
