Great Beginnings Home Daycare

7917 Narcissus Ct, Springfield, VA

Starting at $320/wk

Our Philosophy:
Great Beginnings believes that children develop best in a loving, nurturing environment where active learning is encouraged. We know that your child will develop at a pace which may be completely different from the child sitting next to him/her. Hence, we provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on a child-centered perspective that acknowledges your child as a whole: a social, cognitive, emotional, and physical individual.

At Great Beginnings we provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on a child-centered perspective that acknowledges your child as a whole: a social, cognitive, emotional, and physical individual. We create an environment which will motivate your child to discover and apply new skills. Children become active learners though play; we will observe your child and respond to inquiries and activities initiated by him/her.
Great Beginnings Preschool follows a theme-oriented curriculum, with an emphasis on developmentally appropriate activities. Our goal is to offer all children individualized experiences that will help them develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically - at their own rate!

We believe that children learn best from each other. Therefore, we provide a relaxed, creative atmosphere in which children can foster new relationships with one another and explore a new environment and experiences. We also believe that children are individuals with diverse learning styles and emotional needs; at Great Beginnings, care and teaching is focused on the individual child.
Licensed, CPR/First Aid, MAT certification.

Serious persons please contact me at my phone number listed on this page and the bottom of the following paragraph. I get a ton of spam messages on this platform so please call me to discuss your daycare needs directly.

Hi. My name is Asma. My home daycare is licensed by Commonwealth of Virginia. I currently have a few openings. Some of the currently enrolled families are FCPS teachers so I also follow the FCPS schedule. I worked at the KinderCare center in Burke from 2008 until 2011. Since 2011, I have had my own home day care. I have a Bachelors degree in Education, and over 20 years of experience with children. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I've worked with kids of all ages, ranging from infants to school age. My day care is located in Springfield, Virginia near Pohick Regional Library, a very nice and clean area. The house is very clean, and is pet/smoke free. I have a Family Day Home license from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services. The day care has many features that help the child not only have fun, but also learn. The day care runs under a very organized schedule in which kids will get a chance to play, eat(healthy/organic food), build skills, choose which activities they want to do, and also go out and play in a clean garden. Activities include drawing, playing, and dancing. I follow the same curriculum that KinderCare uses. 85% of the house is used for daycare activities. Open from 6 A.M. to 5 P.M. 5 days a week. Kid's age can range from 6 weeks to 3 years. There is no registration fee and excellent references are available upon request. For more information or to schedule a visit, contact Ms. Asma at 703-870-5773.
