Summer Semester (May-August) THERE IS NO CLASS JULY 4. The price is adjusted therefore no make-ups are needed. This class is recommended for ages 10-16 who have a basic knowledge of drawing. Come learn about comic strips and comic book creation at Art House! In this 10 week course, students will learn the basics of character creation, how to make a story outline, and how to put together a full finished product. Digital Art Supplies REQUIRED. iPad with Apple Pencil preferred. Class is taught using the program Procreate for Apple iPad, which is strongly recommended. Other programs may suffice, but we cannot promise a 1:1 comparison of lessons for any other programs used. Experience in procreate preferred but not required. We will study what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters. Campers will get to sculpt the swirls and designs of the painting using polymer clay to create a textured tile.
