Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This fun class is for students who have taken cartooning and animation and are ready to build on a foundation of a variety of art skills. The joy of drawing cartoons provides a vehicle for also learning drawing basics. This is a digital drawing class. This is an ongoing course that provides new projects each week to challenge and guide your child's artistic abilities. This class is designed to help our young artists learn and develop fine art skills that will also help them in writing and problem solving! Your child will be drawing, painting, and sculpting. Classes also expose them to art history. They are encouraged in their self expression while also learning to follow directions. Our projects are always new and engaging as they continue to grow in their abilities. We desire to build confidence and support their strengths. In this class your child will refine their fine motor skills as they learn to draw, paint, and sculpt, while also learning a little art history. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class is recommended for ages 12+ who have a basic knowledge of drawing, anime, and some experience with digital art. Digital Art Supplies REQUIRED. iPad with Apple Pencil preferred. Class is taught using the program Procreate for Apple iPad, which is strongly recommended. Other programs may suffice, but we cannot promise a 1:1 comparison of lessons for any other programs used. Experience in procreate preferred but not required. We will study what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters.
