I love the blues, jazz and funk as well as World music! I'm here to offer my imagination to you in the form of drum lessons, For me there is no other purpose in this life than playing drums and spreading love through rhythm! I currently reside in Pearland but am willing to travel to teach on-site. I blend the realm of jazz with the spirit of the jungle and the feeling of Africa. I consider my approach to the drums very intuitive and unique rather than conventional/theoretical, I look forward to teaching, learning and growing with you! Boone Name: Garrett McKeithen Date: 2015-09-17 17:06:54 Title: Fellow Bandmate Body: Garrett is a guy who puts emphasis on interpersonal relationships; being said, this focus is carried heavily into his musicianship where it’s used to create music via improvised intimacy. Through my time playing with Garrett, I’ve seen him grow into a drummer capable of sliding into the groove in a way all his own. Embodying a latter-day Ginger Baker, he takes the rhythm and dances with it, on top of it and often around it, all while maintaining his slave to the incessant groove. As an instructor I’m sure he’d bring his fresh sense of playing mixed with understanding in order to establish a connection with the student. A guy who is determined as he is capable, he would be a great percussion teacher, no doubt. -J Allan
