Aside from being an active member of the Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra as a first violinist, I have performed with local orchestras from the beginning of my musical journey. These orchestras include the: Treasure Coast Symphony Orchestra, First Presbyterian Symphony Orchestra, Vero Beach High School Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras, Storm Grove Middle School Symphony Orchestra, and Indian River Youth Symphony Orchestra. I was chosen to perform with the Florida MS Honors Orchestra under the direction of Elliot Del Borgo, and participated in the American Celebration of Music in Austria, the Disney Music Festival, and the Florida Atlantic University Side-by-Side Festival as an honor student. Formal Education: Indian River State College Music Major. Private Education: I have been taking private violin lessons since the age of 5 and private piano and guitar lessons for the past 10 years. I have participated in the Mike Block String Camp during several summers and attended summer programs at Florida State University for both guitar and orchestral studies. Watching her mother struggle to make ends meet just for her, showed Sierra that nothing is impossible with the drive of love.Nothing drives Sierra more than that feeling she has on a stage. This love is something she is determined to pursue so that one day she can take care of her mother, and prove to her that all of her hard work wasn't unnoticed. Sierra studies BFA Musical Theatre at Florida Southern College, and has taken so much away from the learning process. Not only by taking classes with the most respected of professors, but being involved in Main Stage shows such asMusical Comedy Murders of the 1940's, A Midsummer Nights Dream,andThe Rimers of Eldritch.Florida Southern College has an open student initiative program that Sierra quickly used to her advantage by piecing together and performing a one woman show to the student body. One of Sierra's greatest accomplishments through Florida Southern has been the opportunity to travel abroad to Oslo, Norway, and perform in Musical Theatre Education Alliance's (MTEA) first ever international showcase. Endless opportunities have come Sierra's way, and none of them have been taken for granted. Sierra is determined, passionate and open minded because she knows that with hard work, nothing is impossible.
