First and foremost I am an expert in teaching voice. Not many teachers in Chicago have clients that had climbed to a #1 on Billboard charts and get signed by major record labels. I do!!! I taught in Paris, Barcelona, Dubai and New York and have an extensive experience in working with a wide variety of musical genres including Pop, RB, JAZZ, Rock, Country, Musical Theatre, Gospel and Classical. Not only I have been continually developing my own art of coaching and excellence of teaching music to others, but also making much needed connections in the music industry. I am selective who I work with, but I do give a career advice to those that are passionate about their craft and always match talent with the best opportunities in business as they come. Furthermore, I have a strong expertise in teaching piano, music theory, ear training, orchestration and arrangement. As a working studio producer myself I have been tutoring a number of domestic and international singers, artists, musicians and bands, and have been helping them to further their projects and careers. My teaching philosophy revolves around an individual approach. I assist my students with help on discovering their artistic potential and guide them to overcome obstacles to make the most of their training. I provide my students with technique that will last them a lifetime and build up skills that are necessary for a successful career. Not only I nurture my students' natural talents and train them to reach their musical goals. but also persuade them to expand their networks in order to get where they want to be. With lifelong experience and his own personal library of exercises hardwired into his brain, Val is the perfect instructor to lead us to the promise land. His ability to dissect what is happening inside our vocal instrument is uncanny, and he packs the ability to translate this to the student effectively. Each lesson is customized to the needs of the student, and he also involves music theory when necessary to better help us understand and visualize the task at hand. In my time spent with Val, I have seen week to week improvements both as a singer and as a song writer. I am grateful to have connected with Val as I am excelling in my craft each day and taking the steps to reach the potential he sees in me as a vocalist and musician. Name: Michael C. I always thought that being a singer was an instinctive talent. Now I believe that with Val's help and guidance I can become a singer. I can feel and hear my voice developing. It will take time, but I have the confidence that it can happen based upon my progress so far. Name: Rob C. Date: 2015-05-18 18:19:51 Title: All you could ask for!
