From her summer trips to Mexico, she was largely influenced by her talented grandfather and her Hispanic culture; one of the many factors that developed her unique artistry. She started playing piano at four years old and the guitar at ten years old. It wasn't until she joined Chicago Children's Choir that she became influenced to pursue singing. She has sung in all genres of music such as latin, folk, gospel, pop, world, classical, jazz and much more! As she combined all of her musical talents and experience, she developed into a new passion of hers: songwriting and instrumental composition. As a soulful performer, singer-songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and vocalist, Angela Citlali's original songs are highlighted by a unique mix of Afro-Latin rhythms, Folk-Punk energy, soulful vocals and empowering lyrics.
