He was fascinated by music at an early age so he spent hours listening to his favorite songs and playing along to those tracks. Growing up Matt played in school bands and went on to study Drums Percussion at the World Renowned Berklee College of Music. He studied there for a year and was offered an opportunity to make a record and tour with his band Ambrose Bierce. Once that was completed, he went on to continue his education at Onondaga Community College where he received the NAMM Scholarship for Music Business. From there, Matt took a giant leap and moved across the country to establish his professional drumming career as the Artist Relations Manager at Remo, Inc. in California for 14 years. He dealt with thousands of well-known drum legends and met their drumming needs for concerts and tours. Matt currently resides in Orlando, FL. He currently plays at churches and with local bands in FL. Formal Education: SUNY Oneonta Onondaga Community College Berklee College of Music Private Education: Studied with drum legends such as Steve Smith, Dave Weckl, Fred Dinkins, Jeff Hamilton, Russ Miller, Virgil Donati, and many more. Performing Experience: Experience playing with school bands, Jazz Ensembles, and touring with local bands at various local club scenes.
