I attended Polk Community College where I studied music education and attended other various music, band and percussion classes. I grew up in a family of musicians, thespians and my mother is a teacher, so music and teaching are second nature to me. I am cool headed, patient, and very friendly to everyone. I consider myself a great teacher when it comes to percussion because it has always been part of my life. I believe good technique is the start of a great musician, and is very important for learning and progression. Formal Education: My training started in middle school where I was in the school band, and continued all the way thru high school. Also, I was in Drum and Bugle corps for a year. Then, I went on to college to study music education. While in college I also attended classes on music history, music theory, and many other music courses. Private Education: While on tour with Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps, I attended multiple percussion clinics and workshops. I also, attended the after school advanced percussion classes while in college. Finally, I took a few private lessons after high school, at our local music store. Performing Experience: I am currently a member of Cross Traxx (Band), a very busy working local band, based out of Lakeland Florida. We currently have over 300 gigs under our belt, local and out of town. I am also the backup drummer for several other local bands in Central Florida. In addition, I have co-hosted many Open Mic Jams in the local area, allowing drummers the opportunity to play without having to bring their own equipment. The stage is where I'm most comfortable and is where I have been for the last 7 years. Experience Teaching: After graduating high school teaching was a big part of my life. My experiences vary from writing music, teaching technique and teaching high school students how to read and write music at my old school.
