She has performed with a number of youth orchestras as well as honors orchestra and all state orchestra throughout middle school and high school. In 2002 she attended fsu where she studied music education and performance under world class violinist, Beth Newdome. Melissa has been teaching the violin ever since she graduated high school in 2002. She has taught as young as 4 and as old as 70. Miss. Groenewold is an avid teacher and performer in the Tallahassee area. She has perfromed over 100 gigs at churches, weddings, parties, etc. Melissa also teaches the guitar, bass guitar, viola, cello and ukelele. * Formal Education: I am working towards bachelor and masters degrees in music education at Florida State University. Performing Experience: Melissa is an avid performer in the Tallahassee area. She performs with Celebration Baptist Church every Sunday as well as local parties/events. Experience Teaching: Melissa Groenewold has been teaching since 2002. She currently teaches private and group lessons in the Tallahassee area.
