I played guitar in several local rock and pop bands, and I got involved in different projects as a guitar player. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Jazz Guitar Performance major and studies under Larry Gray. I have performed with numerous esteemed ensembles including the UIUC Jazz guitar Ensemble, Parkland College Small Jazz Ensemble, and others local band. Style rang in classical, rock, metal, pop, country, jazz, and blues. I emphasize a fun, organic learning atmosphere, focusing on basic theory, ear training, rhythm, composition, phrasing, and lead improvisation. Most importantly, I always strive to make the lesson time enjoyable for my students of all ages. And teaching students what you want to learn, what you are passionate about, and the songs that you enjoy the most, as well as the music theory behind the song.
