Im a percussionist who has been studying for about 10 years now. I can play many different percussion instruments ranging from marimba and other mallet instruments to marching drums and drum set. Ive been apart of a couple of band programs and will be going into my 8th season of band this year. I also write and arrange pieces for percussion ensmebles and steel bands (proficient in Sibelius, VDL, and Kontact Player). The season runs for 6 months out of the year. He has grown tremendously as a player and has been the glue that holds the battery to the front ensemble each season. In addition to growing as a performer he has donated his time and money by building a drum set cart to easily transport the equipment which helped the grouped immensely. I have never seen him teach but he is a great student with a great skill. He has been surrounded by great teachers and knows how a great teacher interacts with students.
