I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include music from various genres and decades specializing in metal and punk and I also enjoy hip hop and ska. My teaching style can best be described as simplifying to get to the basics. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that there’s more than one correct way to do things, being open about different routes is needed. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basics of playing bass guitar, if you prefer to learn recording and mixing and writing, the process of writing a song and recording and mixing it yourself. I like to tell my students never to give up, in failure, you learn what doesn’t work and what does. My favorite thing about teaching is sharing the ability to express yourself through art. My favorite performance is too numerous to pick just one. In the last 5 years, I’ve played various performances with small artists and national acts.
