This would become a passion once Jamal realized he was perfect at playing. From there in high school his band needed saxophone players so Jamal switched from flute to alto saxophone after 4 years on flute. In 11th grade Jamal moved to French horn when it was needed for concert band and senior year on trumpet. From there Jamal would play trumpet from 2008 to current. During high school Jamal would try the piano playing popular songs he heard on the radio. Jamal attended Langston university for music education where he passed his music proficiency on piano and would also be a back-up piano player in jazz band and practice for senior recitals when requested from students.
