Example of medical diagnoses that may require skilled nursing care include: hydrocephalus, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, transplants, seizure disorder, spinabifidia, severe prematurity, HIE, goldenhar syndrome, cancer. (List is not comprehensive). Special Kids is open Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm. Special Kids accepts insurance and patient payments for services. If a family's insurance does not cover services or if a family does not have insurance, a sliding scale is available. Special Kids' Family Services department will explain the billing process and sliding scale in further detail during a family's initial meeting. Our outpatient rehabilitation services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology to all types of children with special needs ages birth to 21 years. All patients are seen by physician referral and a completed therapy recommendation from a Special Kids therapist.
