Part-Time Companion Available
5 years ago, I was laid off from my job. Around that time, my father, aged 75 was told he had kidney cancer and would need to have surgery. I am one of 3 children and since I was unemployed, I agreed to accompany him to the doctor's visits and pre-op testing. The operation was a success, but unfortunately my father ran into complications shortly afterwards. He suffered a heart attack which affected not only his heart, but most of his organs. I was my father's caregiver for the last 6 months of his life. I made sure while at home he was safe, nourished, clean and comfortable. I escorted him to doctor's appointments and kept a notebook updated on his general condition. My dad was so happy he had someone to take charge. He knew he could never do it all alone, nor should he. I met tons of seniors without anyone. It broke my heart. This is why I am here. Although I have limited experience, I am confident I can learn more skills and assist your loved one, so that their quality of life remains upbeat and positive.
As of right now, I cannot commit to a full time position. I am available for day to day services.
