Hello there! My name is Lisa, I'm 28 and recently moved to the Kalamazoo area. I have always loved being around and caring for children. I helped care for my brother when I was younger, had numerous babysitting jobs over the years, and finally got into nannying a couple years ago. I have a very warm, loving energy and am looking forward to being a mother myself some day. I have a lot of experience caring for infants and small children, but enjoy children of all ages. I enjoy doing outdoor activities, crafts, and cooking. I also do not mind light cleaning, I actually enjoy it. :) I am comfortable with pets, have my own transportation, and am a non-smoker. I'm hoping to find a loving family to help care for, and am available full-time and long-term if it works out and we are all a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your family!

Lisa is a wonderful vibrant young lady who has only positive energy to spend on and with your children. You couldn't ask for a more down to earth, real person to trust your precious children with. She is patient and loving and i a rarity in this time of most people her age having their phones glued to their hands. She is not like that at all. She actually plays with the kids, nurtures them and just spends loving time. They are safe and in excellent hands to allow you to go to work and focus on that part of your life without guilt or worry. 6 stars all the way.

A Safe Place for Children:
The Kalamazoo Drop-In Child Care Center (KDCCC) was established to provide free, short-term child care for low-income families with children from six weeks through the age of five. The objectives of our service are to enable parents with young children to more rapidly negotiate the maze of appointments and services often required to obtain employment, permanent housing, register for school or attend classes and eventual self-sufficiency. We also give parents a "healthy" break from the demands of parenting. We have created a warm, safe, and supportive environment for children and their parents.

KDCCC is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parents may stop down and register anytime during these hours. Space is limited to 20 children per day but once parents register their children, they may reserve spots up to 2 weeks in advance. Please see our Parent Handbook for more information about registering a child.

Providing Quality Care for 25 Years:
KDCCC began in 1990 as a mission project of the First Congregational Church, U.C.C. and is a non-profit organization located in the church building. The Center, however, does not provide religious instruction. KDCCC has its own board of directors with a structure that provide a balanced link so that the FCC can monitor the use of its facilities while the Center operates independently. KDCCC is a fully licensed child care center. KDCCC is the only free drop-in child care in the greater Kalamazoo area.
