My daughter (4) has typical emotional responses including loving hugging and playing with everyone she sees all the way to instant angry breakdowns from a misunderstanding. Patience and talking her through her emotions works wonders. She's also love expressing her creativity (drawing painting building) and has gone through preliminary ad-hoc school activities. She enjoys learning and craves knowledge. She should be challenged with activities in both a structured and free-form manner almost daily.
My son (14 months) has recently learned to walk run sprint and climb all at once. He falls pray to instant emotional heartache and likes to be held for comfort. He naps once a day (around lunch for 2-4 hours). He will also be perfectly happy playing by himself or with his sister for 1+ hours until his suddenly done. He does eat real food too. Our ideal caregiver: My wife and I would love to find someone who is able to help a 4-year-old through her many emotional ups and downs throughout a day. Patience and communication are things we both work on daily.
I (husband) cherish reliability. Life happens and were more than happy to work with life events. But on the average week showing up on time and being invested in our children's lives is what matters.
On top of that this is for a 1-year-old boy & 4-year-old girl. They each have very different needs and have a lot of interaction throughout the day. Growing their bond through activities is important. I (husband) prefer someone who can guide them and create opportunities to let their sibling bond grow. Additional needs include light housekeeping, being comfortable with pets, having a reliable car, a non-smoker. We could use help with homework or curriculum assistance. Looking for care Mondays (7am-5pm), Tuesdays (7am-5pm), Wednesdays (7am-5pm), Thursdays (7am-5pm), Fridays (7am-5pm). Flexible start date.
