Hospice/ CNA /Caregiver

I have my CNA license since May 2011. I have been in long-term care for the pass 10 years. Also, I have 4 years of experience in long-term care facility. I'm CPR and first aid certified since 2014. I'm very educated in Alzheimer's, dementia, strokes, seizures, CHF, diabetics, and osteoporosis. I assist them in feeding, recording intake and out take, hoyer lifts, bathing, grooming, ambulation, assisting RN's with wound care, pressure ulcers, rehabilitation with knee, hip, and back surgeries, colostomy changing, skin assessments, making sure all my patients are comfortable and in courage being independent as much as possible. Also, taking vitals, know some sign language, trained on signs of infection with wound care, water therapy, light housekeeping, meal prep, meal prep for diabetics, heat stress, fluids, and great companionship. I'm located in Gladstone by Maple Woods College. I grew up in Liberty and my family has been in Liberty for 6 generations. I'm back in Kansas City from Austin, Texas. (missed my family). In Austin, I have worked with a great home health care company working with seniors. (Bathing, transferring, grooming, meal prep.) Also, I've worked with a family for two years helping their Autistic son. (Bathing, grooming, school stuff.) In Kansas city, I got my CNA training at Metropolitan Community College. That included: 75 lecture hours, 100 clinical hours, 2 TB test, Criminal Background check with Validity Screening Solutions, Registered with Missouri Department of Health, Registered with Senior Services Family Care Safety Registry. I can do range of motion exercises, bathing, feeding, dressing, mouth care, toileting, and transfers (with Gait Belt). I'm so passionate about what I do because the feeling I get knowing I made a difference in someone's life is indescribable. I know for the rest of my life I want to stay in the field of Senior care/hospice as I finish my nursing degree.
