About who needs care: My stepfather is a wonderful man who is 82. He loves nature, old movies & TV shows and was a carpenter for nearly 60years and loves to fix things. He also loves his daughters and grandkids.
He likes to have coffee first thing and then breakfast (his favorite meal of the day). He like to go into the yard and likes to go out to eat with his friends.
He has several medical conditions that have made him physically challenged. Rheumatoid Arthritis, Neuropathy, Raynauds syndrome and 2 leg wounds. He is a cancer survivor (several times had bladder cancer and lymphoma).
He is mentally strong and a widower of 17 years.
About the care needs: I would love a caregiver who is warm, has a good sense of humor and is attentive and patient. I would like someone with some level of medical knowledge that could help with basic wound care and navigating the doctors visits and at-home support needs.
