I don't have any professional tutoring experience, but I was the academic head (tutor of 30) of Chi Phi before leaving for personal reasons. I'm naturally gifted and extremely passionate about math and teaching it to people. I got a perfect 36 on the Math Section of the ACT. I have gotten mostly A's, some B's, in Calculus 1-3, Partial & Ordinary Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, Intro Linear Algebra, Complex Variables, Statistics and more. It truly bothers me that most people, including public teachers unfortunately, only explain how to solve a math problem and not why the solution method works. Without a strong conceptual knowledge of the problem/solution you are relying on past problem experience and memory. However, if taught the conceptual reasoning behind the problem/solution you can easily solve unfamiliar problems and no longer rely on faulty memory. Math doesn't have to be hard. Once you learn to learn conceptually the rest of your math career will be a breeze.
