Uptown Homecare was created by Houstonians to specialize in providing private duty nurses, aides, sitters and companions for our neighbors who are recovering from an illness, have just had surgery or need long term care and support.
Our services include around the clock nursing or companion care, meal preparation, running errands and transportation to the doctor's office. We care for all diagnosis, including dementia, cancer, heart failure, diabetes, COPD, stroke and Alzheimer's disease. We provide care for patents on ventilators, are quadriplegic or paraplegic, or just need a little help to stay independent and at home. Our services are available in the home or hospital.

Uptown Homecare is a very professional and reliable agency. I would not trust any other agency to help me with my mom's private duty needs. They have been taking care of my mother for several months now. She has been well taken care of by their skilled, caring and professional caregivers. I take great comfort in knowing that my mom is in good hands when I'm not with her.
Also the staff at Uptown Homecare makes sure that all of their caregivers go through a thorough background check and they will only employ the best. They go above and beyond to make sure their patients are well taken care of.

I decided to write this review in hope that it might help someone that is having the terrible problems we have had with getting the right care for a family member. We now use Uptown Homecare for my mom and we are very happy with the service we have received for the past nine months. We love the quality caregivers they send to help my mom and I really appreciate the way the office staff does everything they can to handle a request when something extra is needed. We needed the extra care of a nurse for a short time after my mom was in the hospital. Evidently most agencies have no medical background and not licensed to send a nurse We've used three other agencies over the years that were VERY undependable. There's nothing worse than going out of town and getting a call from your mom saying that the night caregiver hadn't shown up and she's by herself and you call the agency and no one answers the phone at 9pm??? A friend recommended Uptown to me and I will be forever grateful to him.
