WE believe an early start goes a long way. A child care center is a mini-society in which teaching should reflect and establish the skills and talents necessary for each child to reach his/her full potential while feeling loved and secure. Our teaching reflects a high regard for each child's uniqueness with respect and understanding of societal and cultural diversity.

Sunshine Early Learning Center, regulated by the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Childcare Administration, is exclusively for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. SELC provides premier child care services operating throughout the year, Monday- Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Children are accepted on either a full-time, part-time or a drop in basis.

We offer exciting and educational weekly curricula using various online tools and curriculum books to provide and educational environment. In 2014 SELC was awarded $2000 in grant monies for a curriculum approved by the State of Maryland's Education Department. We also participate in Maryland Excels which is a quality assurance program created by the University of Maryland and regulated by the MSDE. All staff are First Aid & CPR certified as well as required to participate in quality assurance programs upon our transition to assure quality services.
