A child care center is a mini-society in which teaching should reflect and establish the skills and talents necessary for each child to reach his/her full potential while feeling loved and secure. Our teachingreflects a high regard for each child s uniqueness with respect and understanding of societal and cultural diversity.<br/><br/>Sunshine Early Learning Center, regulated by the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Childcare Administration, is exclusively for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. SELC provides premier child care services operating throughout the year, Monday- Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Children are accepted on either a full-time, part-time or a drop in basis. <br/><br/>We offer exciting and educational weekly curriculums using various online tools and curriculum books to provide and educational environment. In 2014 SELC was awarded $2000 in grant monies for a curriculum approved by the State of Maryland s Education Department. We also participate in Maryland Excels which is a quality assurance program created by the University of Maryland and regulated by the MSDE. All staff are First Aid & CPR certified as well as required to participate in quality assurance programs upon our transition to assure quality services.… Read more
