I have worked in child care for about 8 years. I have done both in-center child care and I was also a licensed home daycare provider through the US Air Force. I have 2 boys of my own (7 and 4). I love being around children and being able to be a part oftheir lives. I am certified in Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid and have a CDA in Family Child Care. I hold myself to a high standard when it comes to cleanliness, activities and food. I like to involve parents as well in any activities that the children participate in. i strongly believe in a play-based environment for children, where they are free to explore the natural world around them. I feel that through play and peer/teacher interaction, they learn. I believe in children getting dirty, exploring nature and getting their hands messy helps them have a better understanding of the world around them and teaches them to respect it. I recently moved from Fort Worth, TX where I ran a family child care home. All the children i cared for there, I've had since they were wee little ones.
