Smiley Place is an In-Home Family Child Care Service located in Norfolk Virginia's charming Larchmont neighborhood and convenient to Larchmont Elementary, Saint Patrick's Academy, ODU, Ghent, CHKD, ...and a kidtastic neighborhood playground! Smiley Placenow offers full or part-time care, before and after school programs, scheduled drop-in / babysitting, plus special events and recreational activities for children. Smiley Place hosts a monthly "Parents Night Out" and can provide holiday, weekend, or extended hour services. Transportation to and from neighboring schools may be available. Field Trips to the Virginia Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Chrysler Museum, Children's Museum, or to the Blocker Family YMCA are frequently offered during summer programs. Scheduling and availability varies based on number and ages of children. Smiley Place Director, Chelsie Black, is an artist, photographer, and mother of two, with more than 25 years experience in local theatre and children's workshops. As a student of Early Childhood Education and a Studio Artist, Chelsie can keep your children entertained and engaged in fun music, crafts, and outdoor play.
