This is an amazing company. Great staff and wonderful caregivers I have ever seen. Have never seen a in home care company with a owner that's a register nurse. He has so much knowledge and is so caring and compassionate. Could not ask for a better company to be with.

I recently needed a most urgent assist with my husband moving into a memory unit over the holiday weekend. I needed a few hours of private care at night to make sure his sleeping was monitored as he had been having challenges with his dementia and sleep pattern at night. I needed someone who was professionally able to monitor and work with the staff at his new facility/ This communication ensured his safety in the new enviornment. Brittany at Senior Helpers exceeded all my expections, and I would recommend their services to all those considering the need of such. Thanks to Brittany, the transition into his new environment was greatly enhanced and he his doing well as a result.

Senior Helpers of Boise is the Best !
By Jamie Hunihan on 04/25/2017 (Published on RateABiz)
My father had lived with my husband and I for the past 13 years. Dad was 80 when we moved him to Idaho from Florida. His health lasted until the age of 91 and then he had two small strokes that left him with short term memory loss. I knew it would not be too long before I would need to get someone in the home to help assist him during the day while I was at work. He was never very happy about talking about it. He said 'he didn't need anyone to be here, I am just fine'. Everyday he would call me at work when he woke up to let me know he was ok. I noticed daily, that he was starting to deteriorate, asking me questions like 'where am I' etc. That being said, I began interviewing agencies who would be able to come in and sit with my dad during the day with simple daily tasks, making lunches, bathing, and just being some company for him. It was so consuming, because I was not sure anyone would be as good of a caretaker to my Dad than I was. Then on March 6th I was getting ready for work and found my dad lying in his bedroom in a pool of blood. Apparently he had fallen in the middle of the night , possibly had another stroke. We took him to the emergency room where he received 12 staples in his head. We brought him home and found that he could no longer walk. That week, I stayed home and interviewed home health agencies and knew that he would require more medical care than what I had originally thought. I can't even remember how I got the name of Senior Helpers of Boise, but, I will never forget when these two beautiful angels appeared at my door. I felt immediately comfortable with both of them and we talked about the type of care that my Dad would require. Brittany and Sherryl helped me more than anyone during that first week, they helped me bring my father to the doctor on Thursday March 9th to get his staples removed. I don't know how else I would have gotten him there. They helped obtain a brand new wheelchair at no charge, they walked me through some of the things Dad would be needing. Every step of the way, they were there, not just for my Dad, but, for ME. My Dad's doctor suggested I call Hospice to come in and assist with my father. So they came intermittently the following week ,Brittany stepped up to be there the hours that Hospice was not. This girl was a God Send to my husband and myself, she became such a vital and much appreciated part of our family in a matter of one week !!!!! She fed my Dad, became his final companion in his last week of life. She took care of him in the most loving manner, always making sure he was comfortable and cared for. On Friday April 17th, Brittany called me at work and indicated Dad was having a hard time. He was struggling to breathe and was uncomfortable. When I left work and got home, Brittany had soft music playing in my Dad's room, thinking it would calm him. She knew, I knew, we all knew, that Dad would not be with us for much longer. When hospice came, they administered him some medication and it calmed him down. My father passed away Saturday morning April 18th at 10:30 am. The first person I called was Brittany. I will be eternally grateful to her for the care she gave my father. It was genuine. She will always be in my heart. Always. I couldn't think of a better agency to care for a loved one. They are medically knowledgeable, caring, responsible, honest, loving and determined to provide exceptional care to their clients. I know in my heart, my father was pleased with the agency I chose to be with him when I couldn't be in his final days. I would highly recommend this agency! In fact, I don't know why anyone would choose anywhere else. Thanks Sherryl and Angel Brittany !
