We put a deposit down and signed a contract while I was pregnant and about 8 months before care was to begin. We noticed them MOVING shortly before we were supposed to start (we lived near their previous home). Needless to say, we were a little concerned since they had not informed us of their plans to move. Their BPN page at the time said they were moving and expanding. I emailed them to confirm our start date. Ashleigh replied and said she could no longer watch our son due to personal reasons. I I lost childcare a little more than one month before I was supposed to return to work. Fast forward almost 3 months and we still don't have our $695 deposit back. I've tried to reach them by email, phone and certified mail....nothing. They've dropped off the face of the earth.

I'm a reasonable person. I told Ashleigh I was sorry for her circumstance and to just to let me know when to expect the deposit back. I again emailed her when we didn't receive it when promised and told her I understood if she didn't have the money, but to please just let me know when she will so I can remember to check in. I got nothing in return. It's bad enough I lost childcare so close to my return to work, now I'm stuck taking them to small claims court to get the deposit back. This all could have been avoided if they were forthright and communicated what was happening from the beginning.

Bottom line: I was MORE than understanding and accomodating and Ashleigh chose the opposite course. I consider it a bullet dodged. It is my opinion that anyone that conducts their business this way shouldn't be caring for and guiding young children.

Other consideration: I believe they've moved twice now in less than two years. Not super stable.
