Ms. Mildred's Childcare

Ms. Mildred's Childcare is a licensed home childcare where children are encouraged to explore, interact, create, imagine and express themselves. The program is designed to allow children to discover the world through play in an environment that isunhurried, loving and secure. Our approach is child-led rather than teacher-directed. Through free play and open ended art activities, children challenge themselves to work on the skills they need to learn and develop. <br/> <br/>At Ms. Mildred's Childcare your children will receive the following: <br/>*One-on-one care- This is especially important for that first year of your baby's life. My home childcare is typically run by me or my substitute on the days I am not available (which rarely happens), and we offer individualized nurturing care. <br/>*Established Care- Unless some unforeseen circumstances arise, you can typically depend upon me as your childcare provider to always be there. <br/>*Limited number of children- My home childcare only have a small number of children to care for, limiting your child's exposure to illness and providing more attention to each child. <br/> <br/>I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and I've been teaching preschool for 7 years. I have worked as a teacher, a VPK teacher and a preschool director. My husband and I decided to have our fourth and final child so we thought it would be in our best interest for me to resigned as a teacher and open up a licensed in home childcare. I am not a babysitter, my program consists of: math, science, language, art and music.
