La Tijera Center for Children has been servicing the care and educational needs of the community for over 60 years. Our Center was founded by the La Tijera United Methodist Church as part of their mission to nurture children and provide first class childcare and infant care to the Los Angeles area.<br/><br/>Our preschool classes focus on problem solving, decision making, creative play, and self-help, while promoting interpersonal communications. These are key elements which contribute to the child s development, self esteem and confidence. We offer enrichment classes to all our preschool classes at no additional cost - music, creative dramatics, movement & drama! Our Infant Center provides excellent care for children starting at 6 weeks old. We continue to meet your growing child's needs by providing transition classes through 2 years of age.
