About

After School Care for kids ages 8 to 10 in Ashland Oregon

Hello community, I'm Candyce Carbajal, a local entrepreneur. I am offering after school care/nurturing and homeschooling assitance. In our time together we will have a heathy snack, play, andsupport your child with homework or offer an educational delight for them to enjoy while they await your arrival. A bit about me... Some of my favorite hobbies are exploring the forest, swimming, cooking/baking, gardening, dancing, and henna art. I have always loved spending time with babies, toddlers, and children of all ages. I am the oldest of six so I have had a lot of practice with caring for children growing up. From birth to 3 I lived in Colorado, 3 to 16 I lived in Missouri, and 16 to now (37) I have been here in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. I am a proud parent to my ten year old daughter, Miko. She inspired me to go to college to get involved in a vocation caring for and educating young children. I graduated from SOU this past summer and am eager to use my degree to help add value to my community! Education Bachelor of Science | Southern Oregon University | Graduated June 2021 Early Childhood Development; Graduated with Honors Associate of Applied Science | Rogue Community College | November 2018 Major: Early Education and Family Studies; Graduated with Honors Certifications Infant/Child First Aid, CPR| Food Handlers Card | Enrolled in Oregon Criminal History Registry Here is a sample of how our time together will go... I will pick them up from school-> Snack at my place (as local and organic as possible) -> Play time outside if weather is tolerable (Garfield Park, tennis court, nature walk)/ Indoor play time (board/card games, dance party, playing musical instruments like drums/keyboard/accordion/tambourine, jumping on my mini trampoline, show and tell, crafting) -> Homework help or Extra Exciting Education like exploring other parts of the world and their special attributes and the evolution of music/genres and science through hands on trial and error. If they are homeschoolers we will go in reverse (Educational Activities -> Play -> Lunch) If you wish to pay weekly your cash donation will be $20 per hour which is $200 per week or $800 per month. If you would like a discount your cash donation will be $18 per hour or $760 per month, saving you $40 a month!Read more
