About
Fern Hollow Forest School is a home based preschool, and summer camp located in Hinton with transportation available from Harrisonburg. Our childcare focuses on nature connection and is inspired by Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, 8 Shields model and Forest School.
Our instructors have degrees in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, experience working at forest schools, public elementary schools and Montessori preschools with training in nature education from the Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools (ERAFANS) and the Living Earth School. They are CPR/First Aid and Wilderness First Aid certified.
Regular preschool hours are 9am-3pm. Summer camp hours are 9am-4pm.
We have space in our 2022/2023 preschool program for 3-5 year olds which runs from September 2022- May2023. Summer camps for 2022 are filling quickly. For more information please contact fernhollowforestschool@gmail.com.
