I'm a stay at home mom with one child in middle school, one in elementary school and an almost 2 year old.
I have over 5 years experience working in residential facilities with troubled youth ranging in age from 5-18. I have been a Girl Scout leader for4 years with girls starting at 6 years old and now 9-10 years old.
I started watching children at 10 years of age and have never stopped. I've had countless babysitting jobs, watched my 4 nephews regularly as they grew up, and now have children of my own.
I believe in letting kids play and explore fully in their environment with gentle guidance, allowing them to have experiential learning. I utilize a healthy mixture of structured activities along with free play to keep kids engaged and excited. When the weather is cooperative, time spent outdoors playing in a sandbox, on a play set, at a water table, or just laying around observing is an essential part of the day.
