About
Country Montessori School was founded by a group of parents and teachers in 1989. It provides an authentic Montessori education for children from 2.5 to 11 years of age. The Board of Directors is comprised of the Head of School, parents and teachers.
There are three Early Education classrooms and a Lower Elementary and an Upper Elementary classroom.
Our Early Childhood classroom communities are called Dragonflies, Bumblebees and Ladybugs. They offer a rich variety of opportunities for children to experience, freedom within a secure, attractively structured and welcoming environment.
Dr. Maria Montessori recognized the spontaneous interest that arises within each child at this age. It is through the child's interest and active engagement that the love of learning grows.
We include enrichment classes for Music and Spanish in our Early Childhood curriculum.
We offer childcare from 7 am to 6 pm. We also offer After school classes in a variety of subjects including yoga, cooking, sewing and play ball.
We have a summer program and offer childcare on most days when the school is closed.
