Camp Hobe is a special summer camp experience designed expressly for children currently undergoing treatment for cancer as well as for their siblings.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere that enhances self-esteem, fosters independence and friendships, and creates a feeling of belonging.
We run a coed summer camp for cancer patients and their siblings between the ages of 4 and 19 years old. Cancer patients and their siblings may attend while the patient is receiving chemotherapy, radiation, or immunosuppressants; and for 3 seasons after the final treatment. We serve the referral area for Primary Children's Medical Center, which includes Utah & the Intermountain area (Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada).
We currently provide 3 camp sessions:
- Kids week: A 5-day overnight residential camp for kids ages 6 to 12 years
- Teen week: A 5-day overnight residential camp for kids ages 12 to 19 years)
- Day camp: A 2-day camp for kids ages 4 to 7 years. These campers do not stay overnight.
