Welcome to Busy Bees Child Development Home! Since this will be your child's home away from home, we strive to provide a warm, safe, loving, homelike environment for your child(ren) while at the same time providing for their physical, intellectual,emotional and social development. PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY Busy Bees Child Development Home program is based on the philosophy that all children share certain needs. Our educational program fosters development through a broad range of services. It involves the children's entire family, as well as myself, and maximizes on the strengths and unique experiences of each child. The overall goal of Busy Bees Child Development Home is to bring about a greater degree of social competence in children and to prepare them to be successful in school. In doing so, lead them toward living productive, self-sufficient lives. Our curriculum focuses on monthly themes that develop concepts and skills in language, math, science, social studies, arts, and P.E. appropriate for all age groups. During this time our primary goal is to provide a cohesive approach to your child's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Parent participation is vital. Busy Bees Child Development Home whole-heartedly encourages parent's involvement in all activities. Parents provide a valuable extension of children's learning through sharing, understanding, and support. The feeling of friendliness and understanding between parents and providers is extremely important to the child's happiness and confidence. CURRICULUM At Busy Bees Child Development Home our curriculum is centered on the child. Children learn through play; therefore, we play a whole lot. There are always lots of educational materials for them to play with. Although all toys may not appear to be educational, please keep in mind when a child is focused on getting a peg in the board, or putting all the same colors together on a board, they truly are working on various skills. We do have worksheets, singing, story time, and circle time. These times are based on the child's age and how long they are able to stay focused. Along with indoor activities, all children are provided outdoor activities. They are able to jump, run, balance, play ball, and ride bikes to name a few.
