The Children's Center has been a trusted resource in the Greater Utica Community for over sixteen years. Our focus lies in enriching the minds of our communities children. We're committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and engaging programs for your school-aged little one as well. We believe in providing child care that makes a difference and have carefully created an educational environment that will enhance your little one's developmental skills and content knowledge. Our curriculum ensures every child is engaged in developmentally age appropriate activities. Our preschool preparatory program utilizes Montessori strategies in a variety of academic areas. At The Children's Center, we use art as a form of daily expression. Many of our activities inspire children to create from a wealth of visual and historical influences, and helps them understand their place in the world. Programming includes: *Full & part time enrollment *Participation in N.Y.S. Child and Adult Care Food Program (breakfast, morning snack, and afternoon snack) *M.A.T., First Aid, and C.P.R. certified employees *School Age Programming (before and after school, summers, snowdays, holidays, breaks, and 1/2 days) at the CSCC location only *Yoga, Music, and Group Fitness offered *Weekly nutritional curriculum teaching health, measurement, and healthy eating habits *ASL (American Sign Language) within the weekly curriculum *Scholastic Book Orders (monthly) *Field Trips (throughout the year in-house and in the community) *Secure detailed daily reports including pictures, notes, and lesson plans sent home daily via email or app *Napping or non-napping schedules available *Annual educational classroom visits from community helpers like Utica's Fire and Police Departments *Kindergarten readiness and developmental checklists done quarterly Nurture your child's growth and development by enrolling them in the enrichment programs at The Children's Center. We first opened in a renovated historic mansion in Downtown Utica in 2003 on Court Street.
