Children will learn to play and play to learn. Each day activities that are entertaining and age-appropriate will be introduced to your child/ren. Since I have a small and cohesive group, children will have plenty of attention and hands on experience. Children will have a variety of indoor/outdoor play time activities to choose from including sports, constructive play, sand and water play, movement, science and games. Each day after lunch there is a "quiet time" designated to meet the individual needs of each child. Some of the children may nap while others may be involved in coloring, a movie, or reading a book. Other activities include story time, art time, music time, drawing, dramatic play, play dough, puzzles, block/trucks which encourages exploration, experimental and discovery. These are just a few of the interests children enjoy. Educational television shows, movies and videos such as Imagination Movers and Bunny Town, will be shown but limited. Occasionally, we may have a field day trip to the beach, parks, playground, petting zoo or other fun places. I provide an abundance of toys for all age groups to choose from. I offer planned activities and crafts including cooking. Children love to be creative and imaginative! Children have open-ended playtime each day where they can explore and expand on their own special talents. Computer programs, games, educational workbooks and activities will be available. Children will be encouraged to participate in grade level, phonics, letters, numbers, colors, shapes, reading, math, etc. as well as self help skills. Homework help and research will be assisted. We also help explore and celebrate different cultures which many children are involved. Learning about how they celebrate special occasions, holidays, traditional foods they eat and clothing they wear has brought on great interest in minds of children.
