TODDLER PROGRAM: For most children, the toddler class is the first step away from parents. Therefore, one of our goals is for the toddlers to be more independent. We teach the children to share, getting along with each other, and to take turns. There is an emphasis on colors and children make a "color book" and wear something or bring in something for that particular color for Show and Tell. The children learn various nursery rhymes and make a craft to go with it. The children in the toddler class have arts and crafts, use of the computer with specific programs designed for toddlers, a music program, story time, crayons and markers, manipulative play through puzzles and construction toys. PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM: We have developed a curriculum with a good mix of academics and socialization for the 3-5 year-olds. Students learn to write their name, upper and lower case letters in their weekly Alphabet Book, and write numbers. Our curriculum includes language arts, social studies (community helpers, holidays) science, math, computers, daily arts & crafts, music, Spanish lessons, etc. Our Circle Time includes the pledge, a "Hello Song", calendar, weather, "Weather Song", "Days of the Week" song, attendance and daily lesson. After going through our program students are more than ready to handle a full day kindergarten class. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM After homework is done, children will be able to participate in a variety of games, arts and crafts, as well as computer time. Webkinz will be our focus for the activities as well as other great games! We encourage you to have snack and juice for your child. Classes start at 2:30 and end at 5:30 p.m. Most Colchester school busses will stop outside of our office, please check with your school to verify your bus schedule.
