She has developed after-school enrichment programs for fifth graders and has spent many hours working with children with special needs, including autism and ADHD students. Following this, Allison attended graduate school at Lesley University where she graduated cum laude with a Master's Degree in special education. Her passion has always been to work with children and she has since realized that the earlier that you can help a child, the better. This realization has led her to the creation of an educational program for a younger audience. Little Dreamers Playtime was born in 2008.

I have been working in child care for 14 plus years. I started working in a child care center when I was 17. I worked there for a few years caring for infants, toddlers, and school aged children, until I felt I had enough experience to open my own home daycare. When I was 23 I converted the bottom level of my home into a great space geared totally for children. I have cared for the same families for years, but now they are all grown up and headed for school. I am looking to fill a few spots. I have tons of toys, games and areas within the space for creative play too!! I also offer a fully accredited preschool program for children 2 and up. This is a great option for people seeking the nanny experience (to get the personalized care they seek) but who still wants to socialize their children - someone seeking daycare, but not a big daycare center that can often be overwhelming for the child - as well as stay at home/work at home moms or dads looking for a play/learning group a few days/half days a week. I keep my daily groups small, typically only 3 children a day, so that the care is very personal and attentive. I have also been a part-time nanny, so I am very experienced with giving children the one on one attention and time they need as well as some group time, which is important too. I have excellent references from my families whose multiple children I cared for from infancy through their school years. My rate is not hourly but weekly or daily - $175 a week and $35 a day. Half day and before and after school care is available as well. Lots of Cranston buses will bus from public schools to my home. The nice part about this is that the children make and keep such nice friends! They attend each others birthdays, Halloween parties and other events which they loved and looked forward to even at an early age! I also offer free parent date nights on occasional Saturday nights through out the year. The children come and have a pizza party, play games, win prizes and have a blast, while the parents get to go spend time out for a date or errands for 5 hours. I do theme parties around the holidays, so they have a Halloween Costume party as well as a holiday party! These were events that both parents (gives parents a chance to do holiday shopping etc.) and children looked forward to every year as well!
