We would go on nature hikes, parks (learned new active games), entertainment resturants, cafts and art projects and more. My most memorable experience was a nature hike and we found a catapillar and make a habbitat for it. They were able to watch it go through it's metamophisis. We actually learned it was a moth and not a butterfly. They loved it. I now have my own little babby who just turned 9 month. This was an amazing experience and love taking care of her. She would be with me if looking after your children. She is the most easy going and happy baby. But the best part about having my own child and also taking care of someone else's children is that I now know how much parents love them. I have been coaching sports for over 10 years and currently coach club volleyball and will be an assistant coach at Portland State University for volleyball this upcoming fall. I also have an appreciation for the arts. My mother is music teacher and I have gown up learning music and actively participating in it. I think music is a great learning tool and incorporate that into my daily activies.

I am seeking state certification (scheduled for completion fall 2011) and am a certified foster parent who has cared for 11 kids aged 3 days through 12 years, many of whom had special needs. I believe that every child has the right to be loved and appreciated for his/her unique character and gifts, and encourage kids to learn through play and service. I am open at this location through December 23, then will be moving to a new location and reopening January 3. The new location is yet to be determined but will be in the same neighborhood.
